Mathematics at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
In Key Stage 1 and 2 the students follow the UK National Numeracy Strategy utilizing a scheme of work called Abacus Evolve from Ginn. The curriculum includes mathematical topics of number concepts, calculations and operations, measurement, shape and space, and data handling. Opportunities for mental math and problem solving are provided throughout the curriculum.

Mathematics at Key Stage 4
This is when it gets serious! Students are guided into either the Core or Extended level IGCSE Mathematics courses.
The extended level requires excellent problem solving skills and demands a high level of competency of some advanced mathematical concepts such as functions, matrices and sets. The Core level extends the skills and problem solving strategies from KS3.

Mathematics at Key Stage 5
Students study either AS Mathematics or 6th Form mathematics in Year 12. Those who successfully complete the AS programme can choose to go on to A2 mathematics in Year 13. The 6th Form mathematics programme is internally assessed and closely patterns an Algebra 2 course, familiar to those who have studied in the states. The A level programme consists of a rigorous Pure section and modules in Mechanics and/or Statistics.
